Alliant Power Pistol
The fireball out the barrel powder.  The lets make it "4th of July" whenever we shoot it powder.  This would be the best 9 MM powder on earth, if it was more versatile and didn't light up the whole city when you shoot it
new Xtreme Brass with ~12.72 Capacity. This powder takes up a lot of space!  That is 9 grains about to get a Lehigh Defense 75 grain Controlled Fracturing loaded to 1,1 OAL easily

Alliant Power Pistol
This is a small flake powder.  This powder certainly has its fan base.  Its no wonder why.  Its top tier level accurate, it offers some of the highest velocities at standard pressures, and its readily available.  Why not use it?  Well, one reason is you don't want to go blind if you shoot it inside a room at night.  Wow.  That actually has its uses though, its so large a flash, its sure to scare the hell out of anyone at night, and of course, blind everyone.
Accuracy?  Check.  Velocity?  Check.  Versatility?  average.  Average?  Well, if you are into +P+ you can't fit enough powder in the case without super ninja compression skills.  Almost every single load is already compressed at top of standard pressure range...+P is compressed more..With Lehigh 65 grain, we stuffed 10 grains in a case (it was full) and it was not even near other powders velocity because it was not at +P pressure yet, not even close.
The bottom line is this.  If you like high performance loads that are nuts accurate?  Buy this powder.  Its probably not as good overall as BE-86 in terms of versatility, and very near it in velocity. Power Pistol is more accurate we think, however.  If we wanted high velocity in a flake powder for +P for example, we would probably choose Blue Dot over this.

So...what about Power Pistol and what do some cases look like?

Good performance.   This is with a Springfilend XD(M) with Venom Red Dot @ about 5 yards.  Some loads were top tier accuracy and top tier velocity.

Left bottom 2 loads are crazy good.  What else could you ever want?  Lower pressure load for plate shooting in upper left isnt bad either.  It could be lower power though, but accuracy suffers somewhat.  You want a close to standard pressure load that is good?  6.4 grains under the 124 grain HP at 1200 FPS using 4.5" Barrel is right in the sweet spot.
9 grains of PP with Lehigh 75 grain bullet is accurate, but compared to other powders, this is a low velocity result.  Lehigh 75 can do ~1675 FPS easily using powders like Silhouette for example.  You can't fit enough Power Pistol on the case to even get near that...a weakness..if you are into light bullets..

A lot of flash.  But I think everyone knew that.
