Please note the series of VV powders from N133, N135 and N140 all look the same. Exactly the same. Only the coating on the granules is slightly different to dictate the burn rate. So case fill for all of these powders is the same. basically all of them start getting full case around 26 grains range, depending on the case. Which is fine, because when your using 73-80 grain bullets, you will be using 23-25.6 range of charge.
You probably cannot find a powder as clean and consistent as this one for heavy bullets. We think Benchmark is better "overall" for all of 223/556 because Benchmark you can use effectively at high performance from 50 grain to 80 grain bullets. N140? Probably only "good" using 69 grain and heavier, it would be a terrible choice for lighter bullets. Compression is quite HIGH already for 77 grain bullets, if you go much lighter, you simply cannot get enough in the case to get good velocity.
