Alliant Herco
Have trouble finding reloading data on this for 9MM?   This is still a really, really good powder for 9MM.  Very good.

Case is full, overflowing
This powder on bulky side! No problem, extruded powders compress most easily
 Alliant Herco
A  flake powder.   This powder used to be a favorite for 9MM decades ago, but it has fallen out of favor from better choices, namely Power Pistol and now BE-86.  This powder no longer has a point for use in 9MM when you have those other 2 to choose from, but that doesn't mean its not still great for 9MM.  It is.  Its bulky too, as you can see, with the above pic.  With Power Pistol & BE86, you can put way more powder in the case.
One downside to this is many powders look "similar" to this powder.  800X comes to mind, like dark corn flakes.  If you change out powders a lot, there is a remote change you could mistake this for something else. So be careful.
Lets take a look at some of the brass...

5.7 Grains
147 Grain Hornady XTP
1.100 OAL
1110 FPS?  Very high performance, but since we don't have any load data, we would guess this is +P+ and above 38k PSI.  Primers look like they can go more though, and these are the softest Primers we could find.
8.0 Grains
90 Grain Sig Sauer V-Crown
1.070 OAL
1545 FPS?  Very high performance, but since we don't have any load data, we would guess this is +P+ and above 38k PSI.  Primers look like they can go more though, and these are the softest Primers we could find.
6.5 Grains
115 Grain Hornady HAP
1.100 OAL
1315 FPS?  Very high performance, but since we don't have any load data, we would guess this is +P+ and above 38k PSI.  Primers look like they can go more though, and these are the softest Primers we could find.
6.5 Grains
124 Grain Precision Delta HP
1.095 OAL
1295 FPS?  Very high performance, but since we don't have any load data, we would guess this is +P+ and above 38k PSI.  Primers look like they can go more though, and these are the softest Primers we could find.

We could not find much of any reloading data for this powder for 9MM.  So we made estimates.  Our estimates are probably "above" book recommended loads, as you can see from how "hot" most of these loads are. 1120 FPS with 147 grain bullet?  That is very hot.  Very accurate too. This powder is a great performer for 9MM.  It makes us wonder why Alliant has so many similar performing 9MM Powders so close to each other?  BE86, Power Pistol and Herco, Unique, all similar.  This powder reminds us more of Power Pistol.  Lots to like about this powder in 9 MM if you are shooting 90+ grain bullets, its a top performer.  We wish we had load data to compare to?  But look at brass above..they look OK to us...But don't try loads and risk your safety, work up yourself and be careful!
